Terms of use

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to Lifeguide.

By accessing this website or submitting an inquiry, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.

1. About Lifeguide

Lifeguide is a private recovery and longevity experience based in Seoul, currently operating in its pre-launch phase.

The website is operated by Jay Jeong (Founder).

Formal business registration details will be added upon official incorporation.

2. Purpose of this website

This website is provided for informational purposes, brand storytelling, and guest inquiries related to Lifeguide experiences, including the Journey, the Retreat, and other future offerings.

Lifeguide programs are offered by invitation-response. An inquiry is an expression of interest, not a reservation. A confirmed booking requires mutual agreement in writing, a deposit, and a short preparatory exchange.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance, availability, or booking confirmation. All inquiries are reviewed individually.

3. Eligibility

By using this website, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian
  • The information you provide is truthful and accurate
  • You are submitting inquiries for legitimate personal or professional purposes

We reserve the right to decline inquiries at our discretion.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, photography, design, branding, logos, visual identity, and written materials — is the property of Lifeguide unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially use any content without prior written permission.

5. Guest conduct

By contacting or engaging with Lifeguide, you agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Use this website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to interfere with website functionality or security
  • Harass, abuse, or misuse communication channels connected to Lifeguide

We reserve the right to refuse communication or future participation if inappropriate conduct occurs.

6. Wellness and experience disclaimer

Lifeguide experiences are designed for cultural, educational, lifestyle, and personal exploration purposes. They are not intended to provide medical advice, mental health treatment, diagnosis, or clinical care.

Certain elements of the Journey may include access to licensed medical professionals at partner clinics in Seoul — including a health assessment with physician interpretation. These services are provided directly by the partner clinic, under its own professional responsibility. Lifeguide acts as a curator, not as a healthcare provider.

Traditional practitioners involved in fermentation, herbal, and cultural elements — including the Hwang family — are keepers of those practices, not licensed medical professionals. Nothing offered through Lifeguide is a clinical service or a substitute for medical care.

Participation in any Lifeguide experience is undertaken voluntarily and at your own discretion.

7. Availability and changes

As Lifeguide is currently in its pre-launch phase, programs, dates, pricing, destinations, formats, and offerings may change without prior notice.

Accommodation and international flights sit outside the program fee and are arranged in collaboration. Domestic transfers within Korea are included as described on each program's How it works page.

We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue any part of the website or services at any time.

8. Cancellation and refunds

A 50% deposit, agreed by mutual exchange, secures the week (Journey) or the stay (Retreat). Because each program relies on the reserved time of private hosts, practitioners, and local partners, the deposit is not returned once agreed.

The remaining 50% is due sixty days before arrival. From that point, the full fee is committed.

If a guest is unable to travel, we will do what we can to move the stay to another window within the same season, subject to the availability of the house and its partners. Rescheduling is offered when possible; it is not a substitute for the terms above.

If Lifeguide is unable to deliver the program as designed — the illness of a load-bearing host or family member, or events genuinely beyond our control — any amounts paid are returned in full. Independent travel arrangements (flights, insurance, personal purchases) remain the guest's own responsibility.

Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, and medical evacuation is required for all Lifeguide programs. It should be in place before the balance is due.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lifeguide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, personal, travel-related, or consequential losses arising from:

  • Use of this website
  • Delayed communication
  • Program availability changes
  • Travel arrangements made independently by guests

Guests remain responsible for their own travel decisions, insurance, health considerations, and personal safety.

10. Third-party services

This website may use third-party tools or services for hosting, communication, analytics, or future bookings.

Lifeguide is not responsible for the policies or practices of third-party providers.

11. Contact

For questions regarding these Terms of Use, contact inquire@lifeguide.world.

Terms particular to each confirmed booking are shared in writing, in plain English. If anything is unclear, we will rewrite it until it is not.
